Born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Buffalo, New York, Scott is first and foremost a devoted dad and husband. Scott is no stranger to hard work and dedication. He distinctly remembers his father working around the clock to make life as easy as possible on his family. Following that example, Scott has embraced that type of hard-working mentality ever since.
Growing up, he excelled both academically and athletically, but his passion has always been sports, especially football. In high school, he was a four sport athlete, participating in Football, Basketball, Track & Powerlifting. He was an All-WNY quarterback selected to the New York vs. Pennsylvania All-Star game. As a defensive back, he still holds his high schools record for most interceptions (7), in an 8 game regular season. He was also a NY State Champion in Powerlifting at 168 pounds.
Immediately following high school, he went on to major in Engineering at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. At Canisius, he was named an Honorable Mention All-MAAC Defensive Back as a true Sophomore. Immediately following his sophomore year though, Scott and the rest of his teammates were devastated to find out that the college had made a decision to cut the football program. Unsure of his future, he made a decision to enlist in the United States Air Force shortly after 9/11.
While in the military, Scott was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. He worked as an IT Specialist in the Network Operations Center and received his degree in Applied Science Information Systems Technology and Business Management. His military highlights included receiving the “Below the Zone” award and participating as a member of the prestigious USAF Honor Guard.
After being honorably discharged from the USAF in 2006, Scott began his professional career working as a Network Administrator for the Department of Defense. It was during that time that he also began a career pursuing another passion of his, which was music. He worked in artist & brand management and was instrumental in guiding his artist to record deals with So So Def Recordings and Epic Records. Scott definitely feels that working in such a cut throat industry has helped pave the way for his success and business understanding up to this point.
Scott is a guy that’s never been afraid of taking chances. He’s a go-getter who’s always believed that success is achieved by taking action and making things happen for yourself. If you ask him, there’s no such thing as luck. One motivational quote that he lives by is, “preparation plus opportunity equals success.” He’s excited and thankful for his new opportunity with The PIT and Real Superior Athletics. Most importantly, he’s happy. He’s happy because he’s finally back to pursuing his first love of sports.
