Real Superior Athletics

How RSA got started

Real Superior Athletics (RSA) was established in 2008 under the direction of Ronnie “Real Truth” Braxton and his wife Brandy Braxton. RSA is an elite training program that has trained over 10,000 athletes of all ages. “This program was initially designed for our three children Braylon, Jaylon, and Kaylah, to help develop their skills to compete on the highest levels of competition in their sports”, says Brandy.  The Braxtons have taken the functional speed training they have used for their children and applied it in a way that is easy to learn and fun to do!

In just a short time, RSA began to flourish. After immediate success in track, football, soccer, baseball and cheerleading, they decided to open the program up to the public.

Ronnie naturally gravitated towards football and training players who desired to play at the elite level. Originally, he created and coached a youth football program that his two sons would benefit from. After dominating the youth football scene in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex area for years, Braylon & Jaylon had outgrown football at the youth level. Ronnie then took his unique skill-set as a trainer to the NFL and began helping NFL players perfect their craft.

During that same stretch, Brandy had focused on her first love, track & field. She created a dominant track program based out of Allen, TX. In just a few years the program grew tremendously. In 2017, it had reached new heights, registering 377 kids into the program.

The Braxtons focus on speed, agility, form, technique, reaction time, and conditioning. In addition, as former student-athletes, they also strongly encourage their athletes to excel in academics.

The program design consists of combining optimal movement, functional strength, plyometric, explosive power, functional flexibility, and recovery. With this method of training you will improve your over all athletic performance in every area.

RSA’s continued growth and expansion

In 2018, Ronnie and Brandy relocated their family to Frisco, TX. Almost immediately following the transition, RSA partnered with Scott Lathrop and The PIT Performance Indoor Training facility in Frisco, TX. The owner & CEO of The Pit, Mr. James Meese, stated, “I can recognize talent and immediately noticed Ronnie’s skill-set and know-how to train at an extremely high level. I’ve never met a trainer who is so knowledgable, creative and passionate about what he does. Ronnie has a rare and unique ability. He’s really a different breed. I guess that’s why they call him Real Truth.”

Real Superior Athletics is now slated to resurrect a 30,000+ square foot world-class training facility in Frisco. “I don’t think there’s a better location in the country. Frisco was just recently named the best place to raise an athlete“, said Lathrop.

With so much promise on the horizon, RSA is certainly excited about it’s future. As you might expect, Ronnie and Brandy have only one main focus. It’s the same focus they had 10 years ago when RSA originally launched. “There’s a lot of great things happening but it all means nothing if we don’t continue to pave the way for our youth. They’re the future. We’ve got to take care of these babies, first and foremost,” says Ronnie.

With that outlook, it’s easy to see why Real Superior Athletics is prepared to emerge as the premier training facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
